When PETA gets pathetic

The folks over at PETA headquarters, where I fantasize that they are all cute, naked interns, are upset with President Obama for killing a fly on national television. They are sending him a Bug Humane Bug Catcher, which allows users to trap insects and then release them outside.

I am pretty fair with insects. I allow spiders to hang out if they stay out of my way and there was a roach living in my bathroom for 2 weeks with whom I had an agreement that if it stay out of the main room it could enjoy all the fungus it wants behind the toilet. I named him "EncRoach."

I even give Mosquitoes some mercy, since their design is to spread disease and thin out the human population --the female mosquitoes at least. The males are actually right up there with butterflies and bees in terms of pollinating flowers.

"Breaking News: Pres. Obama swats a fly." Is that photoshopped in? Christ, 24-hour "news" is pathetic.

As much as I would love to agree, people dig this kind of stuff --it humanizes the president. How ironic that I feel dehumanized when they think they need to placate me with this.
