Obama should resign and run for president in Iran

The tension is building in Iran as disappointed voters take to the streets protesting rigged elections. The international community is tossing out the usual front line adjectives --'Concerned', 'Troubled', 'Dismayed.' And President Obama has hinted that the elections were probably unfair and that the Iranian people deserve better leadership.

It is interesting he should say that, because it is at this crucial juncture that President Obama is availed a unique opportunity to define his place in history as the one guy who really opened up the Middle East. It would be like Nixon opening up China on a grander and more profitable scale.

Forget the deep bows to Saudi Royalty, direct addresses on Al Jazeera and other such hollow gestures. There is really only one thing Obama can do: Resign, move to Iran and begin his run for the next presidential race. With his stellar approval rating world wide there is no way he could lose. He is a sandal-in for the job.

My Plan

Now, if I was asked to run his campaign, the first thing I would do is polish up his name. "Obama" could likely hurt his chances with Islamic voters so I say drop it and go with 'Barack Hussein.' In fact, it may be wise to add another "r" to his first name and call himself "Barrack." This could score him a slice of the more militant wing in Iran housed in the madras learning to kill Jews.

I realize a lot of them are under 18-years-old, but those terrorist trainee guys get to vote don't they? Kinda like American servicemen can drink before they are 21? Help me out if you know otherwise. I don't want to be chasing a phantom demographic.

My guess is their vote counts twice or how the hell could Ahmadinejad have won again? Perhaps it is similar to the tactics of Obama's predecessors in Chicago who once registered dead voters --Ahmadinejad must have registered underage, soon to be dead at their own hands voters. I am only speculating.

So, once we lock down the name situation, the second thing I would do is bring Sarah Palin on board as our ad spokeswoman. Come to think of it, we might not even need her at all, we could just run the following clip and lock the extremist endorsement right off:

The Bill Ayers connection was damaging in the U.S. election, but would sweep the right wing voters in Iran and that is really who I would be aiming the big guns at. The people in the street are already Barack Hussein fans, no sense in wasting future petro-dollars on making an appeal to them.

My third and final move would defy all common sense in an American election. As is common practice here, most candidates ignore what are known as the "flyover states." Those states in middle America that you fly over to get to more populated states with more electoral votes. Well, here is where I would buck the system.

Who is Iran's flyover state? Israel. Who are the most influential in the world media? The Jews. Are you seeing the connection? I would schedule several campaign stops in the Palestinian territory and while there I would have him bash Israel. I mean really bash. As former U.S. President, Mr. Hussein, has seen the classified reports on Israel. Why not give up a few juicy nuggets for the election? Really scare the electorate and the rest of the Middle East while he's at it.

And think about how well a Hussein candidacy would be received in America. Republicans would be pleased that they could say "I told you so," and Democrats would have a candidate that finally told the truth that yes, it really is all about oil.

In fact, that is where my plan comes to fruition. Once Barack Hussein is president, he opens up the oil fields to American companies, patches up things with the Israelis and then invades Saudi Arabia to clean out those pesky Wahabbis. Afterwards, he could patch things up with the Israelis and build a lasting peace.

Am I the only one that sees the logic in this?

Oh, there is one caveat: the Vice President, the Speaker of the House and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate would all have to die in a mysterious plane crash on the day Barrack Hussein resigns, so that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would automatically go into the Oval Office. I couldn't stomach Biden. I am not willing to send Hussein and his 'message of hope' to Iran and end up with the 'message of dope' back at home.

are people really cheering on this speech? Here are the options; either I am getting smarter...unlikely, or politicians are getting alot dumber. It is so sad that mudslinging is no longer the respected art form it once was. These half assed would be leaders are insulting the intelligence of the people they wish to vote for them, and yet so many are still buying into the garbage they push. What's even more sad is that there really is nothing that can be done to make it better. Just watch and wait and hope it gets better?

To answer your question: "Am I the only one that sees the logic in this?"

YES

ah, the parameters of satire often fall far outside of some people's perimeter. Nice copy and paste though. You've got some skills.

Saudi Arabia...that's where the terrorists are. NOT IRAN. Don't believe whatever the Ameican mainstream AIPAC controlled media spoon feeds you; they just want Israel to strike Iran and get the American people behind it --should be no problem with all the born again Christians in America who believe The End is near. Most of the suicide bombers in Iraq are Saudis; something the mainstream media is silent about.

People need to stop villifying Iran over one bad leader. Tis a vibrant country full of proud, diligent people who are proud of their Persian past. It's all politics, and no religion; just like Israel and Gaza/Lebanon/whatever; until Christians get involved and make it about religion...

As for Pakistan...the only reason that country is so messed up is simply because we destabilzed it over the last 8 years with our troops on the border.

The problem with American foreign policy is that it only sees what's good for America -- rather, the banking/corporate/military/political elite, without looking at the consequences abroad and at home. No wonder we are hated, with 700 military bases in 130 countries...what does that have to do with my freedom anyway?

Any future war with Iran or Pakistan will be just like Vietnam, let alone Iraq, Afghanistan, or wahtever...just another political war to drag on and on...too many jerks with money who only want more...

Obama for Prez in Iran? They can take him.

As for Hillary being prez and her universal healthcare plan; healthcare is fucked up enough as it is, BECAUSE the gov is to involved...Medicare, Medicaid...add lawyers, malpractice lawsuits, insurance companies, and the fact that one man controls the interest rate and money supply,(wages are the last thing to go up) and you can see we never had much of a FREE market to begin with. Not enough American people are even becoming doctors anymore (better let a bunch of Asians in American med school immigrate to America, then), and if tens of millions of people are going to be lining up at hospitals across the country to freeload off the government and wait months at a time; guess I'll learn to give myself injections and physicals; maybe buy my own MRI and x-ray set. The healthcare debate is on TV everyday and night here in the States, and everyone is being so moronic about it.

Whatever...

Really? That's a bit simplistic, isn't it? I don't recall Pakistan being so "stable" before we had troops on the border. The country's been plagued with poverty, extremism, and sectarian violence since its founding.

And...

Health care is a universal right. Not a market commodity you numbskull. We are the only advanced country that does not guarantee this right for our people, and it's a travesty. Oh wait, it's a terrible idea - you're right! Univeral healthcare doesn't work at all in all of those backward European countries where people are dying in line and "sponging off the government."

Too bad you can't give yourself an injection that makes you stop being a retard.

Those "backward" EU countries don't allow free speech...there are things you can say that will put you in jail for a long time. Their media is very controlled. Their police can do whatever they want. Also, I believe Switzerland is the only country where one can own a gun in the EU.

You can freedom or free health insurance, but you can't have both.
Note how our rights are under attack as the government grows bigger and nationalizes everything.

The fact is before medicade and medicare and malpractice lawsuits, healthcare could be bartered for, and fraternal organizations would actually help those poorer. Everything was cash; there was a gold standard...freedom works.

Sorry, I don't have to like big government...or socialism.

More wars, more taxes, more rules, more laws, more cops, maybe a draft...and now, imagine all the middle class people in line for check ups for even the tiniest flu or cold. Shit, I've been to the docotor almost zero times my whole life.

Those in REAL need of healthcare under a socialist system would have to get in line while so many people go to hospitals over the tiniest things; and doctors wages get cut in half. God, it's scary. And more taxes for you.

If we eliminated all these useless depts. in DC, closed down 700 bases in 130 countries, we wouldn't have to pay so much taxes...or any. If we cut all our taxes now; we would have a 1997 level income for our government; which would be fine with out a Fed, an Empire, and pork barrel spending.

If the market controlled the interest rate, and not one man, we wouldn't have the housing bubble and all this crazy economic slump, and this cost of living stuff...wages go up LAST, and our fouding fathers knew this. Everyone gets so bent out of shape over gay marriage and abortion, but no one minds UN coalition forces leading us into war and destroying national borders. Or NAFTA.

As for Pakistan, you should talk to a Pakistani who lived there in the 1990s, and visited within the last few years. Good luck with that.

Not attacking you, but I think the market should control the interest rate, businesses should create jobs and stimulus and NOT the government, and the government should get out of healthcare, education, meddling in foregin countries affairs...in fact, states should have more power than the little they do. If it wasn't for infaltion and all the tax and government involvement, you COULD have healthcare at a reasonable cost.

Oh, we have a dogmatic Libertarian in the house.

Markets aren't the cure for everything, left unabated they will seriously cause damage to people and the planet.

I suppose you are against the national parks as well. Why not just open them up for private development. Surely "the market" will take care of the environment.

Give me a break.

I like socialism. I think a lot of it works well. I also support total free speech and take exception with the European limitations on it. The fact is that goverment guaranteed health care works very well in many countries. There are some glitches and problems, but look at all the general health indices in industrialized countries with guaranteed health care and you will see they've got the US beat in almost every way.

OH NO! BUT IT'S SOCIALISM! OH MY GOD! I'M SO SCARED OF SOCIALISM!!!

You wouldn't know socialism if it tied you down and peed on you. It's just a bogey-man term that people throw around to SCARE people.

As for Pakistan? No doubt it has massively destablilized, but to say it's only because of our troops in Afghanistan is simplifying the matter, to say the least.

But I'll agree with you in that we (the US) should bring most of our troops home and let the world sort out its own messes. I'm pretty much a non-interventionist, which is one place I agree with libertarians. But I draw the line when it comes to their naive adoration of market forces.

No way.

tharpe,

you have no idea what you're talking about. socialism isn't the cure-all for everything either. you think nationalized healthcare is the answer? the only reason why 'america's version' ISN'T the answer is because the government (president, congress, and the courts) have meddled so far in to it.

do you have any idea why prices are so high in america for medical coverage?? first of all, medical schools restrict the amount of doctors and nurses that can actually continue on and get a degree. maybe, bob or sue didn't pass that history 101 or english 102 course. just because of past bad marks could land them NOT studying what they want, hence the high salaries, hours and low supply of these jobs. secondly, the lawyers (such as people like ex-vice-presidential candidate, john edwards wins millions for people who flout bogus lawsuits, thirdly, the congress and president along with big healthcare totally ruin the natural markets of how our healthcare system should be.

so, don't go on saying we got a libertarian in the house. actually, the european nations' healthcare systems are equally as bad as american's. why do canadians and europeans come to america every year to get surgery?? because they'd wait a year or more for dumbasses that think they deserve free care.

peas.
