They say his views on abortion --protecting those that don't want you baby-- conflict with Catholicism's most basic tenets and Notre Dame, by inviting Obama, has violated church principles. Obama carried the Catholic vote in the presidential race.
Pro-Life groups had predicted as many as 20,000 protesters, but the number turned out to be only in the hundreds. No word yet as to when they will protest against "God," who himself allows 20 percent of pregnancies to end in miscarriage --making him the biggest abortionist of all.
It is interesting to note that a majority of Americans are pro-life for the first time since Gallup started asking the question in 1995.
Of other interest, 60% of abortions are performed on women who already have one or more children.

That is very surprising that a majority of Americans are now "pro-life." I would imagine that makes America one of the few countries that holds those beliefs.
Doesn't every president speak at their commencement? Since they are all protestants and not Catholics, why aren't they protesting that.
This is more about Obama haters than religious principles.
Does Gallup have any explanation on the huge statistical jump from '08 to '09?
There is a link to the Gallup poll site. I didn't get a chance to read it. It is quite a huge jump.
I am pro-life but believe that he had the right to speak at the school.
There is no different set of rules for the president than there is for the common citizen in this regard. Many people who support abortion have stepped foot on campus and you can be sure that they've had debates in the classroom. It is a college university after all.

THis school, Father Jenkins and most of the queer priests that work there are Catholic in name only.
Obama is the most left wing radical president ever. His parents were commies. He refuses to provide proof of his citizenship. He supports sex education for 5 year olds.
He has no business addressing Catholic students. No REAL Catholic would support him, vote for him, give him an honorary degree or recieve him at their institution.
I guess he is in pretty good company... Jesus was a big proponent of Communism. Major commie ol' J.C.
I am no great fan of Obama, but I find him to be a more qualified man for the presidency that those that would spew such hateful ad hoc rhetoric. And you are speaking in the name of god I assume?
Are you still running with that nonsense started by the McCain team about sex ed for 5-year-olds? Come on bro: http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/off_base_on_sex_ed.html
Anyway, thanks for your comments. Look forward to more~
Obama speaking in front of planned parenthood, an organization founded by a racist (Margaret Sanger)who wanted eliminate undesirable including blacks from the gene pool. In fact Hitler got his ideas from people like Sanger not the other way around.

I'll admit that the video doesn't provide the full context of the message but to speak in front of planned parenthood in light of what is known about the organization speaks volumes about Obama's stance on the issue.
